I just came across the case of Charles Daymon, and I'm really struck by the role that bystanders might have played. The incident happened in broad daylight, just before 11 a.m., at the Royal Place Apartments, a time and place where I imagine people would have been out and about.
Does anyone know if there were witnesses who saw the shooter fleeing the scene? It's hard to believe that in such a populated area, with people likely walking around or looking out their windows, nobody saw anything that could help lead to an arrest. It must be so difficult for Charles's family and friends, knowing that the person responsible is still out there while they seek justice for him.
