Has anyone been following the trial for Scott Cinevert? I’ve been trying to keep up with it, but there's so much to process. It’s just so hard to think about how a sunny day at Bowman Park turned into such a devastating event. From what I’ve read, Cinevert's role was organizing the robbery, and while he might not have been the shooter, his actions started everything. It’s chilling to think there are others out there who played a part and are still free. I hope the legal process brings justice for Marcus and Matthew, although nothing can undo the immense loss their families are feeling. It’s also terrifying to think how something as simple as a visit to the park can end in tragedy. Hopefully, the ongoing investigation will result in more arrests and conviction for everyone involved. The community deserves peace and answers, and these young men deserve justice. Holding all loved ones close while we still have them feels more important now than ever.

Hi everyone, I just came across a detail about the Marcus Stukes case that got me thinking, and I wanted to share it here. During the investigation, they discovered that the shots came from a car parked near the basketball courts. It's chilling to imagine that this was all planned out in a place meant for friends and fun. It's saddening to think how a space like Bowman Park, which should be filled with laughter and games, got tainted by this horrific act. I can't help but wonder about the impact on the folks who saw what happened or heard the shots. It must be terrifying for them now, every time they visit or even think about the park. Does anyone know if there have been any changes in the community or at the park to improve safety since the incident? It’d be reassuring to see some steps being taken to prevent something like this from happening again. Sending thoughts to everyone who knew Marcus and Matthew—I hope they find comfort in the midst of this sorrow.

I've been thinking a lot about the role of community support in cases like Marcus Stukes and Matthew Makarits. It's hard to wrap my mind around how something so violent could happen in places that feel like home. A park where friends gather and share laughs — it's meant to be a safe haven, not a crime scene. The way the neighborhood came together for that candlelight vigil really speaks volumes about the kind of people Marcus and Matthew were. Even if you didn't know them personally, you could feel the loss in the air. It got me thinking about how important it is to stay connected and look out for each other. Maybe a stronger community presence could help keep these kinds of tragedies from happening again. The park should be a place of joy and peace, and I hope we can find ways to reclaim that. RIP Marcus and Matthew, you won’t be forgotten.
