I’ve been following the case of Barbara and Michael Bitterman and something that struck me was the tragic irony of their planned European cruise. It seems like such a desperate attempt to save a crumbling relationship. I can’t help but wonder if Barbara saw it as a last chance or felt pressured into going. I also think about how they would have been packing for a trip of a lifetime when, in reality, Michael had something entirely different in mind. A friend told me that Barbara had mentioned being more anxious than excited about the trip, which breaks my heart. It’s so incredibly sad that she never got the chance to find the peace and happiness she deserved. My thoughts are with her friends and family during this unimaginable time.
I've been following the Bitterman case closely and can't stop thinking about what kind of person Barbara was. By all accounts, she seemed to be so full of life and kindness. It's chilling to think about how she might have been feeling in her final days, especially with reports saying she feared Michael. I can't even begin to imagine the courage it must have taken for her to consider a divorce after years of marriage. It's so tragic that her attempt to find peace may have pushed things to such a devastating outcome. Sending love and strength to everyone who knew and cared for her.
