I came across the case of little Judah Todman, and it just made me think deeply about the responsibilities we hold as adults to protect our children. Judah's death was an avoidable tragedy that has sparked so much discussion around gun safety, and rightly so. What terrifies me most is thinking about how many families might have similar situations with unsecured firearms in their homes or vehicles without realizing the potential risk. Surely, as a society, we need to keep having these tough conversations about securing firearms properly. This case just reinforces how important it is for everyone, especially those with children, to understand gun safety. It’s a sobering reminder that any lapse, however momentary, can have irreversible consequences. My thoughts are with Judah’s family and anyone else who’s been impacted by such tragedies. I can’t begin to imagine the pain they’re going through, and I hope that sharing Judah's story can prevent similar incidents in the future.
