Has anyone else been following the details around the checks stolen from Benny Clyde Hallmark? It's so unsettling to think someone he probably showed kindness to might have betrayed him in such a horrible way. It makes you wonder if Merritt had been planning this for a while or if the opportunity just presented itself. It's evident how trusting Benny was, always helping others, and it's sad how someone exploited that trust. I can’t imagine what his family must be going through knowing someone they might have welcomed into their lives turned out to be so dangerous. Let’s hope justice is served, not just for Benny, but for his family to find some semblance of peace.
