This case has been haunting me for a while, and I just can't shake the feeling of how deeply sad it all is. The detail that really sticks with me is the empty wallet. It makes me wonder if Alan intentionally left it that way, knowing it would generate more questions. I can’t imagine the pain and confusion his family must have felt, trying to piece together what happened. The decision to involve a weather balloon is so unusual and clearly took a lot of planning. It's hard to fathom what was going through his mind. My heart goes out to his family and friends who are left with such a bewildering and tragic loss. Does anyone else think there might have been a symbolic reason behind all these elements, or was it purely pragmatic?
