Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about Alaina Petty's involvement with the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC). From what I've read, she was really dedicated to the program and it's clear she embodied the values of service, leadership, and community focus. Her commitment to helping others, especially her efforts after Hurricane Irma, tells us so much about her character. It’s remarkable how someone so young could be so driven and compassionate.
It's just so hard to wrap my mind around the fact that she had such a bright future ahead and was taken from this world so senselessly. Alaina's passion for JROTC and volunteering seemed to be leading her toward a path where she could have made such a positive difference. I'm sure those close to her saw that potential every day.
Thinking of her family and loved ones who must miss her dearly. It's a pain no family should ever have to endure. Keeping them in my thoughts. If anyone from the community here has stories or memories of Alaina in her JROTC role, I’d love to hear them. Keeping her spirit alive through our memories seems like a small way to honor her.
