I've been following Stevens Jeangilles' case and something about the surveillance footage really got to me. It’s chilling to think about someone raising their hands in surrender, hoping for mercy, only for things to end in such a devastating way. I can't even imagine the fear and desperation he must have felt at that moment. It's also incredibly tragic knowing that Stevens was on his way to a job interview and just trying to better his life. It’s moments like these that remind us of the fragility and unpredictability of life. My heart goes out to his family, who not only lost a beloved member but also have to navigate the aftermath of such a senseless act. I hope they're finding some support and strength from the community amid this ordeal. Let's hope the justice system does right by him.
