I’ve been following the case of Donald Cottle, and while it’s certainly complex, I can’t stop thinking about the innocent 12-year-old who was caught in the crossfire. It's so disturbing that a child merely going about their day ended up getting seriously injured and had to undergo surgery. It makes you wonder about the impact this will have on him long-term, not just physically but psychologically as well. The notion that he survived is a relief, but the trauma of such an event is unimaginable. I really hope the community rallies around him and his family to provide the support they undoubtedly need right now. It’s a stark reminder that violence affects more than just those directly involved—it ripples out and hits innocent lives, too. If anyone here knows if there’s been any news or support efforts for the boy and his family, please share. They could use all the help they can get.
