I’ve been thinking a lot about the location where Benton Lee was found. It’s close to the South Florida Fairgrounds, a place that’s usually buzzing with life and laughter. It’s so chilling to imagine something so tragic happening in a place people associate with fun and family time. I wonder if any events were going on during that time that might have brought more eyes to the area. Did anyone remember seeing anything out of place? I believe that sometimes people don’t even realize they hold a piece of the puzzle until they stop and think back to the day. My heart goes out to Benton’s family and friends; I can’t imagine the pain they’re feeling, and I hope the community steps up to help bring answers and closure to them.
I was reading up on Benton Lee's tragic case and something that really struck me was how central Hooper Road is to so many people's daily lives in that area. It's almost baffling how something so devastating could happen in such a familiar place.
