Has anyone else been following the Joshua Myers case from 2018? It's such a tragedy for everyone involved. My heart goes out to his family and friends as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. I wanted to discuss the way the Stand Your Ground Law plays into situations like this. From what I understand, these laws are supposed to protect residents in their own homes, but they also seem to create a lot of gray areas. In this case, it's hard to know what exactly happened when Joshua forced his way in, and it's heartbreaking to think about all the lives changed that night. I can't imagine the emotional turmoil the families must be experiencing. Does anyone else have thoughts about how these laws should be applied? Or any insights into similar cases?
