I’ve been thinking a lot about the brave act of McKenna's grandmother during this awful event. It’s haunting to imagine the fear and desperation she must have felt when Gretchen told her to run for help. The fact that she managed to get out and call the authorities is a testament to her courage during an incredibly traumatic moment. While this tragedy is impossible to comprehend, her actions highlight how important it is for people to react quickly in crisis situations. My heart goes out to her as she grapples with the loss of her family members. It's vital we have these conversations and support networks to try and detect signs of domestic distress before they escalate. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this senseless act.
