I've been following Thomas Elehue Gordon Jr.'s case closely, and there's a part that really sticks with me. He was walking a puppy for his son when he was shot. It’s just so senseless and makes me think about how random acts of violence can rob someone of their future and leave innocent children without parents. I can only imagine the pain his son must feel, growing up knowing his dad was taken from him just before Christmas. My heart goes out to his family, especially his little boy. I hope the continuing legal process brings some answers and justice for Thomas. It's a reminder of how urgent it is to tackle gun violence in our communities.
