I’ve been thinking a lot about the community around the 2800 block of Ashland Avenue since the tragic passing of Cecil Harris. It's so devastating to hear about another young life cut short due to senseless violence. Though I didn't know Cecil personally, I've lived in Baltimore for many years, and it's upsetting to see our neighborhoods grappling with such a high level of violence. One thing that stands out to me is the lack of witnesses or information coming forward. I know there’s fear involved, but I hope in time more people will feel empowered to speak out and help bring justice for Cecil and others. Sending support and strength to his family during this unbelievably difficult time. If anyone has insights or suggestions on how we can encourage more community cooperation with the authorities, it would be greatly appreciated.
