I was thinking about the kind of person Devonte was and it just makes this tragedy even harder to understand. By all accounts, he was a gentle soul who loved sports, especially football. It’s absolutely maddening how someone so passionate and seemingly without enemies could become a victim like this. His family, especially his twin sisters, must be going through unimaginable pain. The description his mother gave of him being "meek and humble" has stuck with me. Makes you wonder if he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time or if there’s something more to this story that we’re missing. I just hope that there's someone out there with information who finds the courage to step forward soon. Devonte deserves justice, and his family deserves peace. Keeping them in my thoughts.
