I find myself thinking a lot about the impact that community support can have in the aftermath of such a senseless tragedy. Cordell was clearly loved by so many, and it's evident that his loss is deeply felt in his community. I've read about how his high school held a vigil to honor his memory and it just goes to show how much he touched the lives of those around him. It's crucial for us to continue supporting the families and friends who are left dealing with the aftermath of such tragedies. I can’t imagine the immense pain Cordell’s family must be going through, and having a strong community around them can make a world of difference. While justice in the legal sense was served, there’s still so much healing left to do. For those in Jacksonville or nearby, what has the community been doing to support Cordell's family? And how can those of us from afar help make a positive impact, even if we're not there in person? Sometimes reaching out, even in small ways, can remind us all of our shared humanity and maybe even help prevent future incidents.
