I've been following Amarion James's case, and something that keeps haunting me is the impact on his school community at Godby High. It seems like the school has faced more than its fair share of tragedies in 2019, with Amarion being the third student killed that year. I can't imagine the fear and anxiety that must linger in the halls, not to mention the grief. I'm wondering if there are any initiatives or support systems in place for students and staff dealing with this trauma. It’s crucial, now more than ever, to ensure that students feel safe and supported. Has anyone heard of any local efforts or programs that are helping the kids at Godby cope with these losses? Sending thoughts to all those dealing with this immense pain.
