Hey everyone, I've been following Nalton Johnson Jr.'s case, and I can’t stop thinking about how sports were such a huge part of his life. I read somewhere that a lot of his friends used to play basketball with him almost every evening at the local courts. I really feel for those kids who have not only lost a friend but also a teammate. Sports can be such a strong bonding experience, and losing someone in that setting must be incredibly tough. It's so vital that his friends have support during this time. Maybe organizing a basketball tournament in his honor could be a possible way to bring the community together and help remember his joyful spirit. Not only would it keep his memory alive, but it could also raise awareness against gun violence. Just a thought, but something tangible like this might help channel grief into positive action.
