Has anyone looked into the connection between Maud Crawford's pioneering role for women in law and her disappearance? It's incredible to think that she was one of the first women lawyers in Arkansas and played such a significant role in her community, yet that aspect of her life doesn't seem to get discussed much in relation to her going missing. Could it be possible that her disappearance, while maybe initially assumed to be linked to McClellan's mob investigations, was influenced by someone who felt threatened by her professional achievements or position in society? At the time, there might have been people who were uncomfortable with her breaking barriers or even competing professionally in a male-dominated field. It's a different angle to consider, given that no evidence has ever been found pointing directly to the mob theory. And after all, misogyny and resentment towards successful women weren't exactly lacking back then. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this possibility!
