I've been following the Savannah Leigh Threatts case and keep coming back to the community's role in these tragic events. It really hits home how important it is for neighbors and friends to be aware of who they are living near. The fact that Mendez, a convicted felon, had access to a firearm is incredibly concerning. This isn't just a legal issue; it's a community safety issue. How are these dangerous situations allowed to develop in a neighborhood? We all have to live together and look out for each other's safety. My heart goes out to Savannah's family. No family should have to endure this kind of pain, and it's up to all of us to do what we can to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
