I’ve been closely following the case of Leo Demoski and the others who went missing while traveling by boat from Nulato to Ruby. Something that struck me is the weather in that part of Alaska at the time they disappeared. Does anyone know if there were unusual weather patterns or rough waters reported around the time they went missing? I’ve read that the Yukon River can be pretty unpredictable. It makes me wonder if weather conditions played a role in their disappearance. It’s chilling to think that something like that could happen. If anyone has more insights or knows about the local conditions during that time, it would be great to hear from you.
Hey everyone,
I can’t stop thinking about the weather conditions on the Yukon River during Leo Demoski's disappearance. I’ve read that the river can be unpredictable and treacherous, especially in early spring when ice is breaking up. Does anyone know what the conditions were like between Nulato and Ruby at the time? Could rough waters or chunks of ice have played a role here? Hoping for any insights or local updates from anyone familiar with that stretch of the river around this time of year.
Stay safe out there,
