Was anyone else struck by the impact of alcohol in this case? I mean, two friends hanging out and it escalates to something so irreversible and tragic. Alcohol can sometimes unveil our worst tendencies, magnifying emotions and impairing judgment. It's just so sad to think that, perhaps, this entire situation could have been avoided if there was no alcohol involved or if someone had intervened earlier. My heart goes out to Dillon's family. Losing someone is awful enough, but knowing it happened like this, during what started as a regular hangout, must be unbearable. I can't imagine the grief and anger they must feel, especially since it stemmed from what should have been a normal day. It's a haunting reminder of how quickly things can unravel, and how a momentary lapse can change lives forever. Does anyone know if there were any plans to start a foundation or initiative in Dillon's name to raise awareness about the dangers of excessive drinking and conflict? It could be a constructive way to channel this heartbreak into something positive. ?
