I’ve been thinking about the community impact after Jeremiah Robinson's death, and it’s just so devastating. It’s not only about the loss of a young life with endless potential, but also how these rivalries tear apart neighborhoods. I feel for his family and friends—none of them deserve this kind of pain. What's even more disturbing to me is the social media angle! It seems like these platforms fuel the fire, making these gangs and their conflicts more visible and almost glorified. It’s just a disaster waiting to happen when young people see these feuds playing out online, thinking it’s some kind of twisted fame game. What can be done to address this? How do we steer young people away from seeing this as their only path? More needs to be done for prevention and to give them better choices. My heart goes out to all those affected by this senseless violence.
Hi everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot about the neighborhood where Jeremiah Robinson grew up. It breaks my heart to see how these communities are caught up in such senseless violence. From what I’ve gathered, the tension between AFNF and 438 seems like it’s been simmering for quite some time, but the root of the issue seems to be much deeper than just gang rivalry.
I can’t help but wonder about the environment and circumstances that led so many young people, like Jeremiah, to get involved in these gangs in the first place. It's tragic that poverty and lack of resources can create a cycle of violence that feels impossible to escape from. I really feel for Jeremiah’s family and friends who have to deal with this loss and worry every day for the safety of their loved ones.
We need to have more conversations about what can be done within these communities to prevent such needless loss of life. It’s clear that law enforcement alone can’t solve this issue. We should be thinking about how to bring more support, opportunities, and hope to areas affected by this kind of violence so that the lives of young people can be saved before it’s too late.
Sending thoughts to everyone affected by this ongoing tragedy.
Take care and stay safe.
I've been following the tragic case of Jeremiah Robinson, and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. I wanted to bring attention to something that seems to be a significant issue beyond just gang violence—the role of social media. It's mind-boggling how feuds between local artists can escalate into such deadly conflicts.
Social media seem to act like a magnifying glass, amplifying tensions and encouraging rivals to one-up each other, often disastrously. Young people might feel pressured to defend their images or respond to provocations publicly, which can tragically lead to real-life consequences, as we've seen here. While law enforcement is working to piece things together, I think there also needs to be a call for social media platforms to take some responsibility. Maybe we need education for young people on how these platforms can stir real-world problems and strategies to defuse them. Thoughts?
