Hey everyone, I can’t stop thinking about the role that the neighbors played in trying to help Rebeca and Sofia Davila that tragic morning. It must have been absolutely terrifying to hear those screams and gunshots and then to make the decision to call 911. I genuinely hope they know they did everything they could have done in such a spine-chilling situation. It makes me wonder if there’s anything we can do as communities to better recognize the signs of domestic violence and perhaps intervene sooner, in a safe way, to prevent such tragedies. I'm hoping that those involved are getting the support they need. It's a reminder for all of us to look out for one another and never hesitate to report suspicious or dangerous behavior, even if it seems insignificant at the time. Who knows, a single call might save a life. Our hearts should be with the Davila family and the community that continues to grieve and process this unspeakable loss.
