Does anyone else find it alarming that there seems to be so much gun violence in Jacksonville lately? I can't stop thinking about how dangerous that stretch of Atlantic Boulevard has become. If you ask me, the fact that multiple rifle shells were found on the scene suggests this wasn't just some random act of violence. Using a high-powered rifle is serious—it's like whoever did this wanted to send a message or had serious intentions beyond what we've heard so far.
I'm really hoping that witnesses come forward soon with more information. It's incredibly sad that Meleeke had to lose his life like this, and it makes me nervous for everyone else who has to travel through that area. We shouldn't just let this get swept under the rug like a "typical" crime in a "dangerous area." Every shooting leaves behind a shattered family and friends who are just trying to pick up the pieces. We owe it to them to demand more safety in our communities and not become numb to these tragedies. My thoughts are with Meleeke's loved ones—I can't imagine what they are going through right now.

Driving a black car is common enough, but surely someone must have noticed something out of the ordinary around that time on Atlantic Boulevard.
