I've been following Alexis Jaszmyne McKinley's case, and it's so incredibly sad how things unfolded that night at the Backroom Tavern. It's particularly shocking to see how quickly things can spiral out of control during a night that might've started with just friends having fun. One thing that's been rattling around in my mind is the sheer number of cartridge casings they found—50 is a lot. That seems like it must have been a chaotic, terrifying scene for everyone there. I just hope that the investigators can put all these puzzle pieces together and bring some sense of closure for Alexis's family and friends. If anyone knows more about how these investigations usually go or what the chances are of piecing together sufficient evidence for a conviction, I'd love to learn more. It's so upsetting thinking about the lives altered by this senseless act.
