I was reading about LeShonte’ Jones and couldn't help but focus on her role as a TSA agent. It's so sobering to think someone who spent her days ensuring the safety of travelers could be so tragically taken away in such a violent manner. It's clear she was dedicated to her work and her family, juggling such responsibilities at a young age. Being shot so suddenly outside her own home, right in front of her daughter, must have been unimaginably terrifying. Her colleagues and friends at Miami International Airport must be devastated. It’s a reminder of the risk and tragedy that can intersect with everyday life. My thoughts are with her family, especially her young daughter, who will grow up with the memory of this traumatic event. It's a painful reminder of how violence can disrupt so many lives in just a heartbeat.
