I’ve been following the trial developments around the tragic shooting that took William "Pooh" Everett Jr.'s life, and I can't stop thinking about his young son. It’s tough to wrap my head around how this little boy will come to terms with losing his dad in such a horrific way. Every child deserves to grow up with their parents, and it’s absolutely devastating that violence stole that chance from him. I can only hope the community steps up to support his son as he navigates life without his father. My heart goes out to all those who cared for William. It is clear he touched many lives, and it's a reminder of how these acts of violence ripple out and affect not just victims, but entire communities. Justice must be served, not just for William, but for his son’s future as well.
