I’ve been thinking a lot about Keenan’s case and keep coming back to the role his work might have played in this tragedy. As someone who frequently orders from apps like DoorDash, it’s disturbing to think about the risks these drivers face every day. Keenan was just trying to provide a service and make a living, and it breaks my heart that it put him in harm’s way. I came across some stories where delivery drivers have been targeted during their shifts, and it’s frightening. Does anyone else agree that there needs to be more protection for these gig economy workers? It just seems like there should be some way to make it safer for them. Keenan’s case really highlights a serious issue that I feel we need to talk more about. My thoughts are with his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
