I've been researching the Doris Miller case lately, and one thing that really strikes me is the impact Doris must have had on the Laguna Beach Playhouse community. Being such a talented set designer, she likely spent countless hours dedicated to her craft, bringing productions to life and collaborating with the artists and performers who knew her well. The Playhouse must have felt such a void after her passing. I can only imagine the loss they experienced not only creatively but personally, as Doris seemed like someone who deeply invested in her work and relationships. If anyone has more information on any tributes or productions they might have done in her honor, I’d love to hear about it. It would be a touching way to remember her contributions and legacy.
