Was reading about Officer James H. Nerison's case, and I couldn't help but feel for his family. It’s a harsh reminder of the perilous job our officers take on. Imagine holding onto that kind of secret for so long. That must have been a heavy burden to carry. It’s a relief the family finally found closure, albeit many years later. Also, the community’s effort to honor Officer Nerison shows the lasting impact he made. I hope his family found some peace knowing his bravery won’t be forgotten.
