Has anyone else been thinking about Mrs. Helen Cabanne, the neighbor who heard the altercation and called for help? My heart goes out to her because it must have been incredibly distressing to hear the argument and then those gunshots without being able to stop it. It makes me wonder how these types of events affect those who are indirectly involved. She was just a neighbor who found herself suddenly thrust into this tragic situation. Does anyone know if she ever spoke publicly about the incident or how it affected her life afterwards? I can’t even imagine carrying that memory with me. Praying for peace for all those impacted by this tragedy, especially the Papke family and their loved ones.
