Hey everyone, I came across Rogest Cain's case from back in '86 and can't stop thinking about the mechanic who saw him at the gas station. He described Rogest as disoriented, with slurred speech and a staggering walk. I'm curious if any other witnesses saw him around this time with similar behavior or if there are any theories about where he might have gone afterward. The man's symptoms sound eerily like a medical episode, which might explain the confusion. Did Rogest try reaching out for medical help, but couldn't properly communicate what was happening? Or maybe he had a full-on memory blank due to a possible stroke? It's sad there weren't more urgent efforts to find him right after his conversation with the police. What do you all think? Could there have been a better shot at retracing his steps if authorities had been alerted sooner about his state? Or was this just one of those unfortunate situations where signs were missed, and an opportunity was lost? Always intrigued to hear your thoughts.

Hey everyone, so I stumbled upon this really interesting detail in the Rogest Cain case while going through old newspapers. I found a mention that when Rogest was last seen at that gas station, he was apparently carrying some kind of small toolbox or kit with him. The mechanic mentioned that Cain was fiddling with it, almost like he was trying to fix something or maybe it was a comfort item? It struck me as odd because if he was suffering from memory loss or disorientation due to his health issues, what was he doing with a toolkit? Could it be that he was trying to piece back parts of his memory or identity through familiar tools or tasks? Maybe it was something he used to always carry with him? I wonder if anyone else has heard about this or has thoughts on its significance. It might be nothing, but then again, in cases like this, every little detail might mean something, right?
