It's been over three decades since Gary Small vanished from Vinalhaven, and one aspect that has always intrigued me is the ferry situation. For those unfamiliar, Vinalhaven is an island, and the ferry is one of the main ways on or off. Has anyone looked into who was working on the ferry that day? Any chance there were discrepancies in the passenger list or eyewitness accounts from those who traveled that day? I find it strange that with such limited access points, no one seemed to notice anything unusual if Gary did indeed leave the island. Or maybe he never got on the ferry at all, but that just raises more questions. Thoughts?
