Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the impact Rosalind Thorpe's disappearance must have had on her friends and family back in 1973. It's hard to imagine the fear and uncertainty they lived through, not knowing what had happened to her and Alice Liu. Rosalind was a young woman with her whole life ahead of her, full of dreams and potential. For her loved ones, it's not just about losing her but also the unanswered questions and the haunting details that followed when her fate was finally uncovered.
I've read that many people who knew her were deeply affected, and it's heartbreaking how such a promising life was cut short in such a horrifying manner. The community, too, must have felt it sharply, wondering who could be next and living in a constant state of alert. It's important we continue to remember these victims as real people, not just names in a tragic story, and support those around us who might still be affected by what happened.
Anyone else think about the aftermath on her family and friends or have anything more on how the local support systems responded back then?
