I can't help but wonder about Clemmie Mathis' mindset on the day he went missing. It's strange that the last known interaction involved him not opening the door to his landlord. Was Clemmie just wanting to avoid a conversation about his lease, or was something more going on? It feels like this tiny detail could speak volumes about his state of mind, but we have nothing else to go on. If there were financial or personal pressures, they might not have seemed significant at the time, but could they have played a part in whatever happened next? It's so frustrating how these little snippets just leave more questions. Does anyone know if Clemmie was acting differently in the days leading up to April 10th, or if there were any other signs of distress? Maybe someone saw something that didn't make sense back then but clicks now. Would love to hear any theories or thoughts on this aspect of the case.
Hey everyone,
I was just thinking about some of the early details around Clemmie Mathis’ disappearance. The fact that he was last seen by his landlord who said Clemmie wouldn’t open the door strikes me as curious. If I remember correctly, that was on April 10, 1987, and there’s been very little to go on ever since. It’s just odd that refusing to open the door would be the last interaction anyone had with him. Does anyone else find it strange that no one else in the apartment complex saw or heard anything unusual around that time? It’s like he vanished into thin air! ?
I wonder if anyone else living there at the time might recall seeing something they didn’t realize was important or maybe felt it wasn't their place to report it? Keeping hope alive that someone, somewhere might remember a tiny detail that could shine a light on what happened. The more I think about it, the less sense it makes. Hoping that renewed interest might jog someone’s memory.
Let's keep this conversation going. If any new pieces of the puzzle come up, they could be significant. Thoughts?
