I’ve been reading about Detective Boone's case, and it’s just so devastating to think about what his family must have gone through. I can’t imagine the shock and loss they felt when they heard the news. He was out there truly risking it all to keep others safe. His bravery is unquestionable, but it still aches to know he didn’t make it home that day. I wonder how his family is doing now, so many years later, living with this reality. Seeing his name on those memorials must be both a point of pride and a reminder of their loss. I hope they’ve found some peace over the years, and it’s comforting to know the community continues to honor his sacrifice. Has anyone else here been to one of the memorials and found it particularly moving?
