Hey everyone, I’ve been digging into the tragic case of John Kevin Manville and Robin Ehlman, and something that stands out to me is the close-knit nature of Davis back in the '80s. I've read numerous accounts of how this incident sent shockwaves through the student community at UC Davis. Many of their peers described John as a compassionate and driven individual with a bright future ahead; he was already making such a positive impact in the veterinary field. It's clear that both he and Robin were deeply loved by those around them. It's haunting to think how quickly and violently their lives were taken, especially by someone who was supposed to have moved on from Robin. I can't even imagine how their friends and families have coped all these years. Attending parole hearings must be incredibly painful, yet it's a testament to their strength and commitment to justice. For those who were there or have insights, how do you feel the community has processed and memorialized these events over the years? It seems like the impacts still linger deeply in Davis. Sending my thoughts to everyone affected by this tragedy. Stay strong.
