Did anyone else catch that the triple shooting on Wilkens Avenue where Andre Washington was killed happened in broad daylight? It makes me so upset to think that someone could lose their life in the middle of the day with people around—it's just so terrifying. It feels like there’s no respect or fear anymore for the consequences of committing such violent acts in public spaces. How do we create a sense of security when these tragedies keep occurring in places and times when people should feel safe, like just being out on the street during the day? I really hope there were witnesses who might have seen something that will help catch whoever is responsible for this. My thoughts are truly with Andre’s family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time.

It’s so devastating to see yet another life cut short due to senseless violence. Andre Washington's death is an unimaginable loss, both for his family and the broader Baltimore community. It’s deeply concerning that so many of these cases remain unsolved, leaving families without closure. Wilkens Avenue has seen its share of incidents, but each life lost is its own tragedy that should never become just another statistic. I can't help but wonder about the level of support being given to the families of victims. Are there resources and support groups in place for those left behind to cope with their immeasurable grief? Perhaps that's something that needs more attention, not just in Baltimore but in any community dealing with high rates of violence. It’s crucial for us to voice our concerns and push for change, to ensure that victims like Andre and their families are not forgotten.
