I came across this case recently, and I can't stop thinking about the impact it must have had on Officer Felio’s family. Losing a loved one so suddenly and violently is something no one should have to endure. It’s devastating to think about his wife and children having to go on without him, especially knowing he was just doing his job—something he dedicated his life to for 18 years. His grandchildren will grow up with stories rather than memories, and that's incredibly sad. The community seems to have shown a lot of support for them, which is heartwarming, but it doesn’t replace the void left behind. Reading about how esteemed he was by his colleagues and community really paints a picture of a man who did everything to protect and serve. Does anyone know if there were any foundations or initiatives started in his memory? It would be nice to see something positive come out of such a tragic event.
