Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about Judy Nesbitt's case lately, and I came across something that really struck me. While most of the focus has been on the horrific event itself and the eventual breakthrough in 2018, I found myself wondering about the psychological impact on her son, Steve, and how he coped over the years. Losing a parent so suddenly and violently is something I can't even begin to imagine. Growing up with that uncertainty and lingering questions must have been incredibly tough for Steve. He was just 20 years old when his mom was taken from him. That’s an age when you’re still trying to figure out your own life. I hope he had a solid support system around him, because dealing with such trauma without answers must have been unbelievably tough. I also think it speaks volumes about the strength of Judy’s family to endure through those years and never give up hope. The fact that they finally got some answers thanks to advancements in technology and investigative techniques is remarkable, but it doesn't erase the pain they went through all those years. This case is a reminder of how crucial advancements in technology can be for solving cold cases and bringing some semblance of peace to those left behind. ?️

Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the timeline of Judy Nesbitt's case and how the advances in forensic technology played such a crucial role in solving it. It's mind-blowing to realize that it took almost four decades for the justice system to finally identify her killer—yet, the perseverance of Judy's family and the investigators paid off. What strikes me the most is how significant the genetic genealogy work was. CeCe Moore and the team worked tirelessly to ensure no stone was left unturned with that DNA profile. I can't even begin to imagine the weight lifted from Judy's family after all these years, knowing who was responsible, even though Kenneth Marks could no longer be brought to justice. This case not only highlights the tragedy and senselessness of Judy's loss but also serves as a testament to how far technology and investigative techniques have come. Her family deserved answers, and while her son Steve and the rest of the family won't have that face-to-face closure in a courtroom, they at least now know who committed this senseless act. My heart goes out to the Nesbitt family. I hope they find some peace in the closure that’s finally been brought to them. It's a reminder to all of us about the importance of never giving up on justice, no matter how long it takes. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
