Has anyone noticed the eerie parallel between Heather Scaggs and Ellen Hansen's cases? Both young women had such promising futures, and they were taken away under similar circumstances. It's awful to think about how Heather trusted Carpenter enough to meet him that day. I can’t stop thinking about the details of how they both loved the outdoors. Was referring to him as the "Trailside Killer" a reflection of how public spaces, places meant for tranquility, were turned into crime scenes? I just hope that Heather’s friends and family managed to find some solace amidst such a senseless tragedy. Does anyone think there were points along the investigation where things could have turned differently, maybe even preventing these tragedies?
