I've been following the case of Brenda Kay Foster for a while now, and something that really puzzles me is the timing of her disappearance. She vanished just after undergoing a major surgery—a hysterectomy. You'd think she'd need time to recover and wouldn't be going anywhere far, not without alerting someone, especially since she'd probably need some extra care post-surgery. I wonder if any investigators considered the possibility that her medical condition could have made her more vulnerable. Also, did she have any scheduled follow-up appointments? Records from those could provide some clues about who she was interacting with right before she disappeared. It's frustrating to imagine that these little details might hold the key to solving her case. Has anyone else come across anything about her medical situation in other reports?
It's strange how little information there is available about Brenda Kay Foster's disappearance. I've been looking into her case, and it just baffles me that there aren't any substantial leads even after all these years. You'd think that someone from the Dallas area might have seen something or remembered something unusual from that day in 1989. It's frustrating to see a case remain unsolved like this, especially with her being an endangered missing person due to her medical situation. Has anyone else tried digging into local news archives or reaching out to community forums from that time? There might be something there that's been overlooked.
Has anyone looked into whether Brenda might have traveled somewhere outside of Dallas around the time she vanished? I feel like that's a bit of an under-explored angle in many of these older cases. Especially with her having just undergone surgery, it’s possible she could have been planning to recover somewhere else, perhaps with family or friends. I know there were mentions of her being in a lot of discomfort from the surgery, so maybe she wanted a change of scenery or a place where she felt more comfortable to heal. I just think we shouldn’t rule out that she might have been moving around right before she went missing. Anyone here have thoughts or similar cases where the victim traveled post-surgery?
