Was anybody else around Schoodic Lake around that time in 1989? I grew up hearing about Glenn Patterson's disappearance from some locals who would mention the cold, deep waters as being exceptionally dangerous, especially when the seasons change. It's always baffled me how they found the boat but not a single trace of either Glenn or Jeffrey Hall. The thing is, accidents on such lakes do happen, but there are usually more clues. Has anyone else from the area heard or seen anything unusual back then? I've heard rumors over the years, but nothing that ever seemed credible. It's a long shot, but maybe someone remembers something, even if it seemed minor at the time.
I've been following the case of Glenn Patterson and Jeffrey Hall for a while now, and something about their vanished boat keeps gnawing at me. The info says the boat was found partially submerged, which makes me wonder about the weather conditions that day. I did a little digging, and it turns out that Maine can see some pretty unpredictable weather, especially around that time of year. Could a sudden change in weather have caused their boat to capsize? Was there a storm or sudden wind shift that day? I'm curious if any local records or newspaper archives might mention weather anomalies around September 30, 1989. It's strange because despite that possibility, you’d think they’d have been able to swim to safety or at least have something more left behind. Did anyone else hear anything about the weather that day?
