Has anyone else been following the details about how Prieto's DNA was finally used to identify him in Yvette Woodruff's case? It's chilling to think about how many years passed while he was still out there. I read that the discovery was only possible because of improvements in DNA technology in 2010. It's remarkable and somewhat scary to see how far technology has come—providing answers to questions that haunted families for decades. I can't imagine the emotions Yvette’s family must have experienced during that time, from despair when the case went cold to the resolution brought about by advances in forensic science. I hope this is a reminder of the relentless pursuit of justice that families deserve. Does anyone know more about how these DNA advancements work? It seems both fascinating and incredibly crucial in solving these terrible cases.
