I've been following Damon Washington's case for some time, and something that's always puzzled me is how the community response seemed to dwindle over the years. In those early days, it felt like everyone was rallying together, desperate for answers and justice for Damon. He was such a well-loved young man, and people came out in droves for vigils and protests.
Over time, though, it seems like the momentum faded. Was it fatigue, the heartache of seeing no progress, or something else? It makes me think about how communities can maintain support for unsolved cases, keeping the pressure on for answers. In this case, it feels like the Diamond Bar community cared deeply and still does, but maybe didn't quite know how to channel that energy effectively over the long term.
For those who remember Damon and are still hoping for justice, what do you think can be done to reignite that community spirit and keep Damon’s case in the public eye? No family should have to live with unanswered questions about a loved one. Damon deserves to be remembered, and his family deserves peace. Any thoughts or ideas on how to keep the conversation going would be appreciated.
