I was reading through the details of the horrific Carrillo’s Club massacre, and one thing that really struck me was the story of the bouncer who was killed alongside Reyes Carrillo Sr. I've been thinking a lot about the role of bouncers and the risks they take to keep patrons safe. It’s such a tough job, and they often don’t get the recognition they deserve. This tragedy serves as a stark reminder of the dangers they face and the bravery they display, night after night. My thoughts go out to the bouncer's family, as well as to all the other families affected by this senseless act of violence. I can’t imagine the pain they’ve had to endure, and I hope they’ve found some form of peace after all these years. It’s comforting to know that Johnnie Malarkey’s confession finally brought some answers, but the shadow of loss remains.
