Has anyone looked into the weather conditions on July 31, 1993, around Dry Bay and Yakutat? I came across some older aviation forums, and it seems like that area is notorious for sudden weather changes. I'm wondering if that might've been a factor in Gary and Virginia's disappearance. I mean, finding the landing gear piece offshore and the survival pack on the beach suggests they might've tried to either ditch or make an emergency landing. Anyone have access to old weather reports from around that date, or any thoughts on how common it is for small aircraft to encounter issues due to weather changes in that region?
