Has anyone here looked into the impact Marco's murder had on local youth programs in Boyle Heights? I remember reading somewhere that there were community initiatives launched in response to his tragic death, aiming to provide kids with safer spaces and activities, hoping to steer them clear of gang involvement. It makes me wonder how effective these measures have been over the past 20+ years and if they truly managed to keep other young folks safe. Hearing about Marco's story has always been such a somber reminder of the risks faced by young people in neighborhoods like this. I'm curious if those efforts managed to make a lasting change, or if the cycle of violence continues to persist. Any insights or updates on this would be greatly appreciated.
