Just wanted to say, I've been following Carlos Juvencio Gonzalez Jr.'s case for a while, and it's so deeply upsetting how such a young life was taken away so violently. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family has been through all these years without answers. Wilmington has seen far too much of this kind of violence, and it's so frustrating that no one's been held accountable.
Does anyone know if there have been any recent community efforts or vigils for Carlos? I think anything that keeps his story alive is so important. It's baffling that despite some leads, there's been no breakthrough. Hoping someone out there knows something and finds the courage to speak up. Carlos deserves justice, and his family deserves peace. ?️
I was reading about Carlos Juvencio Gonzalez Jr.'s case again, and my thoughts keep going back to his family, especially after all these years of unanswered questions. It's one thing for a community to struggle with such violence, but for his family to face each day knowing there's been no justice must be so incredibly tough. I can't imagine the pain they endure every day, but their strength is truly inspiring—they've consistently advocated and kept his memory alive in such a meaningful way. I came across a piece about the vigils they've organized, and it's touching to see how the community has come together to support them year after year.
In these situations, it's easy for cases to grow cold, but community involvement can sometimes make a difference. If anyone out there remembers anything, any small detail, it might finally bring the peace this family deserves. Keeping them in my thoughts and hoping for a breakthrough soon. Would love to hear if anyone else has thoughts on how communities might help push for answers in cases like these.
